Service was wonderful and friendly. The food was 5 star! We had pupusas that were amazing. They were not bland and had the perfect texture. The Tamale was good (not as good as at the Tuacahn Saturday Market but good). The Riguas con crema was amazing! We went at 11:30 am. It was busy but not too busy and the food came quickly.
We had Papusa's and a tamale, the papusa's were spot on, the chicken tamale had a little too much masa, but tasted great, we definitely will be back, remember it's not Mexican food its Salvador food, and a good one at that.
The staff here are super accommodating and nice! That's for starters, the food... MIND BLOWING! So flavorful but not in a heavy type of way, just delicious and light on the tongue. Fresh made and homemade goodness. Best chorizo we have ever had! Hands down! And if you're looking for somewhere to get out of the heat, it's nice and chilled inside! I highly recommend giving this place a try! I can't wait to come back, I already know what I'm going to try next time! LOVE IT!
The food is great, taste like what we make at home. Definitely the most authentic papusas I've found in a restaurant. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a quality meal. To anyone upset about their meal not coming with beans and rice? This isn't a Mexican restaurant so that's not really a thing..
Wandered in on a Sunday afternoon. We were the only customers. Menu is very authentic Salvadoran food. So authentic the menu is entirely in Spanish. Pupusas are a great discovery. Similar to the love child of blanco maize tortilla and a pita, the bread is hearty, dense but not overly so, and bursting with flavor. Carne asada was so tender wo cut it with a butter knife. It was well season and surrounded by beans, rice, grilled scallions, and a small salad. Each of the items was flavorful and cooked to perfection. We finished with empanada de platanos. We were looking for a good place to get some yummy pupusa's and this place delivered (not literally, but figuratively to my tummy haha)! If you're looking for some Latin comfort food this is the place. We got the cheese and bean pupusa & cheese bean and pork pupusa. Both pupusa's checked our need for comfort food and something that felt homemade and authentic. When we went to pay, we discovered that today (and every Wednesday) all pupusa's are HALF OFF!!! If you can go on a Wednesday, do it and you'll get a killer meal for a killer deal. We definitely will be back when we're having a pupusa craving!
Excellent little cafe tucked away on S. Dixie Dr. Everything we had was delicious. The chef came out to greet us and was super friendly, as was the entire staff. Friday lunch had every seat taken. Huge menu, check it out before you go!
